The books prepare students for language and verbal ability section of the common entrance test. They are designed to clear the confusion and chaos in mastering English. The lucid, step-by-step approach of concepts and their applied aspects in this text makes it an easy learning experience. The ideas behind the Books are to explain the principles that will help the students in answering questions in the examination as well as contribute to their overall proficiency.

Speaking on the occasion Mr.Sujit Kumar said “The idea of writing these books took shape during my long career as a faculty for Verbal Ability with several institutes for the CAT and other competitive examinations.

Grammar lectures stretched endlessly and even at the end of it all, more doubts remained in the minds of the students. And as a norm all of them wanted to learn more and more of grammar. Hence, I decided to put down in one place as many usage issues as possible which were relevant to the CAT and other competitive examinations.”

The English Usage for the CAT covers almost all the basic principles that a student preparing for competitive examinations should know in grammar and usage. The book refrains from being technical because the aim of its audience is not to become grammarians. Perhaps that is why the book has been so well accepted.

The READING Comprehensions for the CAT provides passages and questions that are comparable to the actual CAT passages. Also, several passages have been sourced from Project syndicate which is excellent resource for essays of general interest in various subjects. Apart from testing the students’ comprehension skills, these essays are excellent reading material too.

Both these books provide excellent concepts and practice material for the CAT and other competitive examinations.

Main features of the books are:

  • Discusses concepts and their applied aspects purely from the CAT prospective
