PGPEX-VLM is one year full time residential program which is built with focus to manufacturing that helps to appreciate an industry’s transformation in competitive times. The course is being conducted jointly by 3 premier institutes of India viz.

IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras. The course has been designed by these institutes in consultation with industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC) and Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Admission procedure
1- Basic eligibility: Minimum 5 to maximum 10 years of work experience in manufacturing or related sectors; holding responsibilities in production planning and control, research, design and development, quality control, plant engineering, maintenance, supply chain, etc. for self-sponsored candidates. Sponsored candidates / candidates on study leave need to have minimum 5 years work experience as above and there is no upper limit.

2- Entrance exam: Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of his/her academic background, which has to be consistently first division/first class from high school board examination level to graduation level, relevant work experience, employer’s recommendations, bio-data & essays, performance in the Aptitude Test and Personal Interview to be conducted jointly by IIMC, IITK and IITM. Institute welcomes GMAT score to substantiate academic credence.
