you have done a diplome in ir & pm so u would be knowing the concepts already..
now about your questions.. yes, there is a huge scope in hr..major thurst areas are it firms, manufacturing and service industries..

your second ans is the best brother of hr are marketing and law.. you are marketing the employer brand to the internal customers and to the prospective joinees so marketing and law, as you must comply with all the legal formalities..

hr institutes could be
xlri, xiss, tiss, scmhrd, imi delhi, mdi gurgaon, delhi school of economics, delhi university..
