Hi everybody,

I am having 3+ year of experience in software industry and looking forward to do an MBA through symbiosis. But I got confused whether to go for PGDBA or PGDIT. I had done BE in computer science. So half of the course contents in PGDIT is same as what I learned in BE. And I am not sure if PGDBA will help me in my career growth.

So it would be of great help to me if somebody can guide me whether to go for PGDBA or PGDIT ?

Thanks,
Amit Gupta

hi amit,

distance learning would not help you any way, be it either PGBDA or PGDIT.
but if you not intended to discontinue you current job and parallely persue some management related course or PG, i would suggest you go ahead with PGDIT as that would be easy for you to complete the course asap. this might help in future may be down the lane after 3-4 years in escalating you to a managerial position. this is only a presumption. dont take it for granted as we cant rely on IT market when it will turn into dolldrums. i feel though you half of the subjects seems same to your BE but the cirricullum is well designed to promote your self as a project manager. it includes all the stuff that a IT manager requires.
it up to you think well decide correct.
all the best,
raghav.
