View Full Version : Tips needed for clearing Financial Accounting Exam...
venki882 07-25-2007, 06:21 PM Hi all,
Currently I m doing MBA in correspondence from ICFAI in bangalore . I have cleared first set of exams (Introduction to Management and Managerial Effectiveness), which are interesting and easy to study.
My second set exams has Financial Accounting and Economics subject. As I am engineering background student I find difficult in understanding the concepts of finance and accounts. I have attend this exam twice but still I m running behind it.
I will be grateful, if anyone helps me to clear this subject by suggesting some training institutes/classes or tips etc.
Looking forward for your replies….
Regards,
Venki…

venki882 09-06-2007, 06:10 PM Hi anu,
Actually i have attended the ICFAI classes last time for financial accounting. They are conducting weekend classes only. Also they are rushing to finish the subject. I feel difficult to understand the concepts in that speed, as i m from engineering background. `
Then, regarding Group A papers, you can get it from ICFAI website itself. i don’t have a copy of that.

Nidhi_Maria 09-11-2007, 10:58 AM Hi Venki,
As you are from an engg background, you can even take the help of B.Com students or any friends/colleagues with finance background to understand the basics and then go through your ICFAI MBA papers. It may even help to read 11th and 12th standard accountancy text books. Engg students find this subject difficult because they have no idea whatsoever on the concepts.
Don't panic. Understand the basics first, spend more time and go through the topics at a slow pace and you will definitely clear it. All the best.
Nidhi

balnce sheet and inventory valution which comes in paper 1 and M&A and lots of stuff in paer 2 which is quite complex because most of these are theoritical so be prepared.

blueheaven 11-23-2007, 03:32 PM Hi everybody, there are many subjects related to finance, accountancy and taxation under the British chartered accountancy course. I would like to know the site on the internet where I can view the questions asked on these subjects in the previous year’s British chartered accountancy examinations. Can you help me?
