This is a student assignment. I am doing correspondence MBA in HR from Ignou. I have finished all my theory papers. I have to do a project now to complete the course.

I have not been able to finalise a topic, something related to training and development, employee satisfaction etc. is what I have in mind. I do not want the whole project, would like to do it myself. I would like to see some projects in related fields to have an idea on how to proceed.

Also, if there is anybody who can be the official guide, that would be a big help.

but for that you must visit some company to have some hands on experience.

I think I will do a project on "Identifying training needs of skilled workers" . This is the general idea. The title can be re-worded / modified.

I am planning to do it based on my colleagues (around 30 ppl). I work for an IT services provider.

Will this be suffucient? How do I start working on this? Your guidance will be valued.

it does not matter what the sample size is but the quality u put in your project.

fortunately i am doing a project on training needs identification ryt now juz for fun ata manufacturing company.

to identify the needs, you have two options:

firstly you can refer to there appraisal forms and get to know the training needs. moreover, you can refer to their confirmation letters.

secondly you can design a questionnaire and circulate it among the employees to get to know their training needs. in this you must be xtremely careful to draw all the areas where they might neede training and the questions must be in the simplest form you can ever draw.

second step in the project would be your analysis and suggestions.
