Hi,

I am around 9 years experienced professional. I have recently started thinking of pursuing MBA (probably from India and possibly from abroad). Considering my experience my aim is to attempt admission for exective MBA from IIM A/C or course from ISB.

One of the admission criteria common across all of above schools is diverse Work Experience. I wanted to gain more clarity on what is a good experience for admission to a management school?

So far I have experience of 2 industries (namely Automobile and Software)
I am currently playing the role of project manager (progressing through different roles of software engineer and analyst) with a software company.
Is it a very common profile? Does my experience ok/reasonable for admission to above colleges? Is there anything I should do to enhance my experience in next 8-9 months?

Please let me know if there is any other area (of admission criteria) one can improve other than GMAT score and little bit change in experience profile in 8-9 months timeframe

Appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi

Diverse does not mean that you need to work in various companies. I think what they look for is your ability to prove that you have managerial exp and this degree will add to your profile i.e. a fit for your personality.

one crucial area might be international exposure as this helps in placements also.
