you must target some companies so that in the end you have data to support.
start by making a questionnaire and keep in mind that satisfaction does not mean more productivity.
a good thought is that an employee may be satisfied but does not mean he is contributing to the organization in his full ( refer herzberg's theory).
thus, here comes the role of non-financial factors.
just start with your project with these points in mind and i am here to help you in case you are stuck somewhere.
btw, wich college/university you are in?????

thank you very much Gaurav...By the way, I am at Chester Business School, Chester.Wavey it is a part-time course, but this year onwards they have also introduced a fulltime course. let me stop advertising the college.. well aboutthe dissertation, i have already written to some companies and one has agreed to the proposal, awaiting reply from 2 others. well in our dissertations we have to do a literature review APA referenced, which I have started but finding ita bit daunting b,coz don't know, which road to take. to begn with I have cited the motivation theories and their arguments till date..then concentrating on the rewards different organizations offer..then this is the tough part... do I jump onto the current state of hotels.
with ref to our sentence... satisfaction does not mean productivity.. my argument is productivity measuring will be done by perormance appraisals etc(that shall be a different field altogether),, but concentrating on the rewards and how it can retain staff will be related to staff being satisfied with the organization. do u see where i am coming from.
did I mention the title last time, if it was non-financial factors , i have slightly altered the title.. to a critical evalution of the role of Intangibles in total rewards affecting employee satisfaction and retention in the hospitality industry
expecting a reply.
