Hey folks,

m chandra..a BE (IT) current working with CSC (IT MNC) having total ex of 3+ yrs. I got to find that IIM-L noida which is just next to my office in sector-62 is offering a executive diploma for working professionals.

I'm pretty keen to know more about this course...It would be great if any of you can help me with my queries like:

1. How tough is to get into this course...i mean the entrace..is it of the same standards of CAT or on the lower side...Do i need to join any coaching centre for its prep as I'm out of touch....

2. How rigerous is it going to be....How tough would it be to manage both work and studies together?

3 Is the course worth the efforts? ....How many people appear for its entrance in rough figures and out of them how many are called for GD/PI?

Your response to my queries would be highly appreciated.

Thanks alot in advance!!

Not very tough. But you ned to see your level first. It is somewhat at par with CAT, so prepare for 2-3 weeks and give some sampel CAt tests. I

2. How rigerous is it going to be....How tough would it be to manage both work and studies together?

some what rigrous, you need to devote yoour after evening hours as well as weekends.

3 Is the course worth the efforts? ....How many people appear for its entrance in rough figures and out of them how many are called for GD/PI?

ratio is around 1:5. Regarding worth of program, it is part time and hence dont offer placements. If you are lookig for placements, then you have to go for one year full time program.

It is tough but leser number of people appear, some coaching is definitely advised

2. How rigerous is it going to be....How tough would it be to manage both work and studies together?

quite rigorous just like a IIM MBA,profs are strict about assignments and studies, but you can manage with dedicated time management and cutting down on other time pass activities

3 Is the course worth the efforts? ....How many people appear for its entrance in rough figures and out of them how many are called for GD/PI?

Dont know, but the quality of people is good..you should definitely prepare as it is not a cake walk to get in ...

Thnx guys for your timely reply!!. That was helpful.

I initially thought of joining a coaching but now I'm having a feel that I could prepare it myself..I have bought the IMS's CAT study material, along with other Books like RS Agarwal for quantitative and Barron's for english. I have got few weeks for self-study before the entrance so lets see.

1 .Do you think study matter I have got, along with previous CAT papers and few sample papers would be enough to study from?

2. I wanted to know, at which place they are running their MBA classes...Is their Sector-62 Noida Campus operational?

3. Apart from IIM-L Noida, what other instutes can be my backup/alternate options?

4. Also, got to hear that they give you a timeframe of max 4 yrs(subject to condition) to complete your course and If not completed, you are out of it and that really worries me...

Thank you so much for devoting your valuable time in replying me.

I think CAT is no big deal. a lot of ppl I know never took any coaching. So just practise and do it well. You will crack it.

Sec 62 NOIDA Campus. the back side of building is operational and regular classes are held there.

3. Apart from IIM-L Noida, what other instutes can be my backup/alternate options?

FMS also offer part time evening program.

4. Also, got to hear that they give you a timeframe of max 4 yrs(subject to condition) to complete your course and If not completed, you are out of it and that really worries me...

I have no clue about this. Will encourange you to drive down to Sec 62 and ask students there.

HI Guys,

I have cracked the written exam of IIM-L Noida WMP program. Can somebody please guide me on what level GD prep is required and what common question are asked in their PI? Any substantial information about their GD/PI would be a great help.

Thanks in advance...
