Hi all
A well known retail biggie has come to our college for the summer placements in operations.
However they want the students to decide for themselves what they want to work on if (at all) some students are selected for the summers.
I am really interested in doing a project in this retail biggie but dont know where to start. The group also wants us to submit our synopsis on the project we would like to undertake well in advance before going for the interview.
Please help me out and suggest some topics i can think of working on in a retail company and under the operations stream.
Thank you.

Retail require very strong Supply chain management. Probably you can do a topic on sourcing and build a model which uses Linear programming to reduce cost and manage sourcing better from multiple locations.
