Can you please provide the history of CoolAvenues? I read somewhere that CoolAvenues initiative was launched back in 2000 and it is one of the oldest popular MBA forums. However, I don't know the various stages of its evolution. I am keen to know about the history of this initiative. Probably, there can be one sticky thread giving out the information (bullet points) about the history of Cool Avenues.

Hi
CoolAvenues was launched in 2000 ( Feb 2000) and probably only portal of that time which grew and flourished without any funding.

Went through the article "How to net a Job" published in one of the HINDU group of publications at URL: http://www.hinduonnet.com/businessline/iw/2000/09/24/stories/0724g059.htm
This article talks about the features which were introduced when this initiative was launched. However, the article is silent about the MBA Forum. This feature might have been introduced later.
After browsing through some posts on this forum, I also came to know that earlier the forum was www.coolavenues.net but was later changed to the present one.

Got to know about CA from one of the sites. The information is quoted below.
CoolAvenues.com, started in Year 2000, is the largest network of MBA community in India with more than 50,000 pages of unique content and strong partnerships with Corporate as well as Business Schools (all IIMs, and other top B-schools) of India.
Today, CoolAvenues.com has emerged as an authoritative platform for MBA
community to interact / seek information on major issues including various Bschools, placements, rankings, career opportunities, etc.
CoolAvenues.com is now considered an authority on placement data and carries out an Annual Placement Survey, which has been carried out by Business Today as BTCoolAvenues Annual Placement Survey for last seven years. Last year, the survey was also featured by MINT (A Wall Street Journal & HT Media initiative) and quoted by other leading newspapers.
CoolAvenues.com also has partnerships with Yahoo India Jobs, Rediff Jobs, Google News, etc., for content sharing.
