Introduction

In the book Driven, Paul R. Lawrence and Nitin Nohria put forward the idea of four driving factors which govern human behavior namely, Drive to acquire, Drive to bond, Drive to learn and Drive to defend. After reading this book I evaluated myself. I asked myself how much connected I am towards these drives. Am I leaning towards couple of them and ignoring others? Am I trying to find a balance? Or am I already in balance with this four drives. Then I realized the fact that from time to time my percentage of allotting my time towards these drives is different. But in fact I am driving my life with the help of all the four drives.
Drive to acquire

I definitely have plans to buy a house. I changed my previous unstable job to a stable job with the plan of buying a house and live in Columbus. I definitely want to make the life of my family more comfortable. Professionally I am not that aggressive for acquiring things. I always keep a low profile.
Drive to bond

I am in love with my wife. I have loving parents and a sister. We are very close to each other by heart. We support each other. I devote my live for the well being of my family. Professionally I try to be close to my colleagues. I am very friendly to my managers.
Drive to learn

I am always in search of knowledge. I nourish my thoughts by acquiring more and more knowledge. I will always make sure to get involved in activity, which provides me knowledge of any type. My drive for learning is equal personally and professionally.
Drive to defend

I am ready to sacrifice my life to defend my family. I am really patriotic too. I involve in social activities to improve the society around me. Strong societies will result in strong nations. In job I try to defend my principles and ideas.
