I am posting this thread as i am in a great dillema right now. If i go for a management seat in a reputed college thats gonna cost me a fortune but even then i can afford it.
Probelem is that recently i have heard that the students who take admission thru management seat in MBA are not allowed to sit in the placements or if they are allowed its when all other (free seat) students placements are over .
Please guide me the right way n tell me wether this is true or not?

It's not the case. Students admitted under management quota are allowed to sit for placements. It's only the corporate sponsored candidates which are not allowed to sit for the placements. Also, you would have equal opportunity for placement as that of any other general category student. I'll telling this from the perspective of Symbiosis B-Schools and this holds for almost all reputed B-Schools.

Can anyone tell the process for management seat at sibm/MDI?
i talked to some consultants for that they said 12laks + fess for SIBM u only have to appear for SNAP but for MDI need to have 75 percentile minimum in CAT thats all for nxt yr 2010 as i hav not given snap this yr
plz tell if anyone has come across these consultants n all, are they true or fraud???

Also how do we get specialization course (finance,hr,operations etc.), is it decided by college or by us , what is the criteria for normal seat or management seat.???
