I have decided to open an IIPM tower in my colony. The pan shop at the corner will be used as a tower. I must say i have been heavily influenced by Arindam's idea of counting chicks and letting them hatch and so i have decided to restrict entry only for girls in my new IIPM tower.

Who ever you are, it's a very cheap way to poke fun of an institute yaar.

And 'ha ha ha' and 'outsider' - every body at IIPM for that matter any institute know where they stand (unless for some debatable comparisions like XL vs L and B vs C). Obviously this guy IIPMian should be one such fellow who was either rejected an admission from IIPM, or from muc lower rung BSchool and being bulleyed by his friends in IIPM or some such IIPM averse fellow who seems to seek pleasure from the 'gaali' you people give to IIPM.

I think one should refrain from falling into the trap of people such as IIPMian. Even if that fellow is from IIPM and is really serious one should not say harsh about an institute for the sake of 100 other people who are not as foolish.

AT Kearney, Coke, HLL... ya they might have left top schools like IIML and SP Jain to go and recruit from IIPM coz it is the only good B school left on Earth... Think beyond IIMs...but we should realise that they also want ppl who can do the salesmen jobs at 10000 p.m. What harm if they get ppl with so called MBA degrees (recognised or not)...

ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT if u r in IIPM don't top the class b'coz the toppper instantly becomes the faculty ..No doubt they have good placements

i know wht u mean,i was offered a seat @IIPM,(I don't understand why they can't offer a whole sofa instead).

anyway,it took me just 10 mins to clear their written and GD ronds.it was a cake walk.ya,i would advise anyone to go for he inst,if
1)it was last place to do MBA
2)d student is given money to take admission there
3)if student doesn't want to study.

just kidding,d inst os ok,if u can't get admission anywhere else.

Firstly every tom and harry can get in2 IIPM. The institute carries a GD & PI session just 4 the sake of it cuz' even fools clear it at ease. It is a very bad practice 2 take each & every student who applies 2 the institute.

Lemme share my eXperience @ IIPM whn I had gone 2 meet my frend already studying there. It was thn tht I got 2 know more bout' d inst. Even i applied seeing the campus & my frend's wish. After tht I was called 4 a GD & PI session & it was really bad, cuz' people didn't spk up only. Me spoke 4 almost 12 mins out of the total 25 mins 4 the GD. After bout' a week, i got a letter asking me 2 pay the fees @ the earliest. I decided 2 meet up my frend again cuz' waz not really keen on getting in2 IIPM. I saw the guy who hadn't spoken a word in the GD paying the fees. Tht waz it 4 me 2 take a decision...

It would be a greatest joke that i have ever heard. Recognising IIPM is a lvy league college. It's a completly a marketing gimmick. and nothing else.
Waste your money , time and if u have some thing more u can waste there.

Come to think of it, the following points come to my mind:
1. Where do they get money to advertise so much in the main sheets of a National Daily newspaper?

2. I have read "Count your chickens before they hatch", a good book. But I guess Mr. Arindam doesn't have another book of the same quality to his name. A flash in the pan, maybe? Projecting him as some management guru and all that is ok, but please stop putting his photo in the papers. He looks ugly.

3. They make B-school sound like a major commercial venture. What with IIPMs in every city being called towers! I mean, it should be a place where students learn to manage rather than simply show off their towers!

4. They boast of names like Pepsi/Coke/AT Kearney in their frequently visited companies' list. I just dont understand how to believe them? Can anybody please throw light on this (supposedly a) fact alone?

5. And I have heard that they charge exorbitant sums of money as fees? Anybody who can provide the figures please? That will help ppl like us make our decisions easily.

Last but not the least, I am yet to see a guy who hasn't got admission into IIPM. If there's anybody, lets build a temple in his/her name! :lol:

For IIPM advertising makes a perfect business sense as withthis one page ad they can capture junta in small towns & cities of India and hatch them :)

Logic is simple IIPM take some 3000 students and multiply it with 5 lakh so theyu make some 150 Cr in fee alone. So if i earn 150 Cr in fee i can very well blow 30 Cr in advertising. as simple as that

dude. who r u ? u sucking arindham's d+++ too/ let me tell all of u here. i am an iipmite n it sux big time. there are no fortune 500 companies. even bulk recruiters like tatas refuse to come here. for the 600k fees, pay 300k for a management seat in a decent college n 300k as fees. u won't regret it. even after my completeing my mba frm iipm i don't have a decent paying job. the average salary of my entire batch is 15k permonth. dude even a bcom graduate gets the same.

n all the ball talk of $350000 per annum adverisement is bullshit. we have been asking questions since a year n not even arindham chaoudhar can tell us who the luck chap is. thats coz there is none.

i'll tell u where they get the money. thru GIDF, thats 'dudum' baba's NGO. all the concerts like recent airsupply in bangalore, strings in mumbai, MLTR etc, the sob transferrs to GIDf to save tax. after the MLTR concert, my department in plan manconsulting (ICPAR) had just on ejob for next two monts i.e to tranfer all money earned thru the concerts to GIDF, showing that they alone sold tickets to corporates where as we were made to stand on roads n sell tickets for anywhere between 2k to 5k. imagine mbas doing that. but u cant argue iwth the motherfuckers as u will not get your degree otherwise.

even when bengali bastard released rok sko to rok lo, we had to stand on street corners n sell tickes. at one pint we were instructed to stand outside the cinema halls n sell the tickets at half the price. when that didn't work we had to give them free to people so arindhan choudhary can claim in papers that his movie was housefull.

he thinks that his dream of making planman motion picture the next ;columbia tristar' of india is gonna come true if he gives couple of regional hits in bengali movies.

seriously man. when i went for the written test n gd, i was high on 3 manali cream joints. n would be able to distinguish the table from the chair.

invariably, i left the written test blank n didn't speak a word at the gd. but i still got a seat. in the past years a secret is learn't among the student ..... if u can pay 6 lac, u r in no matter how wasted u r. ha ha ha

there is a friend of mine who says its very difficult 2 get into d iipm coz its gdpi is very tough and only brilliant only brilliant students do get admissions there..IS IT TRUE A BIG?????????????

let me explain,we both graduated together,,,this guy he use to totally rely on a friend of his, say for presentations,project reports whatever....he didnt even knew to spell a word correctly in english and he is in iipm now..
he says d minimum salary there is 3lacs.being such an average student not even average almost dumb is making such claims..so this is somethin for the moderator of d forum what shall we all do to stop people frm gettting into this jail of arindham and infact he challlenged me that whoever said this wld have been rejected.....
and for the issue of a guy who left IBM DUE TO D IIPM pressure for this he explains that he was been sacked by ibm bcoz he was not able to perform well with the org,,, but we all know that the issue was diff...
so plzzz this is a reqquest frm my side that we all have to unite together to wipe out ths trash.........
