i wanted to know that wat is the cut off percentile for the iims,overall as well as sectional,and also for other CATrelated institutes such as MDI and S.P.JAIN. I APPEARED FOR cat THIS TIME AND MY PERCENTILE WAS 94.2.
VA-88,QA-88,DI-93. so in which section should i improve and how :?: plz guide me.

nobody is exactly sure as to how iim's give thier calls.But u atleast need to be above 98 percentile and score marks equally well in all sections.My friends percentile was 98.4He got call from IIM Indore,MDI,S.P.Jain.
MDI course for HRM had a percentile cutoff of around 92.
Regarding hwere to improve i cannot say because i don't know where u are weak..but keep one thing in mind that..try to perform acrooss all sections

hey for all the IIMs u need 99%ile +
and hopefully in each section more than 97 or 98%ile
see there are 1.25 lakh ppl appearing for the exams
and roughly 1000 calls are given
so u get 99.2 %ile to get calls from A ...but ppl with 99.07 have got A call and few with 99.7 havent
thts due to lower sectional cutoff

all i can say is prcatice practice and practice

Further to Sunayna's question, does any body know what kind of score does a 99 percentile translate to in real score terms?

IIMs - 98 %tile plus with sectional cutoffs.

SP Jain - work ex, essays and CAT %tile. Highly unpredicatable.

MDI - 95%tile with high quant cutoffs.

IMI - 90% tile with no sectional cut offs.

Tapmi - 84% tile

KJ Somaiya - 82%tile

FORE - 80%tile.
