Anonymous 05-27-2004, 05:16 PM HI CFA from ICFAI is quite a flogged issue. CFA orginally is from AIMR USA and they have sued ICFAi and won. In INdia, most of people confuse orginal CFA with ICFAI CFA. CFA from ICFAI on its stand alone basis does not add much weight to your placement prospects as industry does not see it that way however if you have some other degree like MBA from good institute then you mifgh do it for refreshing your fundas Pappu 11-22-2004, 03:24 PM Hi, CFA(icfai) is presently the toughest course available in India. It has good reputation in India. For instance from icici to syndicate bank to SEBI, they all advertise for Indian CFAs. There is no need of crticizing any course. AIMR CFA has won case in US & Canada but not in the whole world. Don't misinterpret the things. asaratk 05-02-2005, 04:10 PM yeah CFA is a decent course being offered by ICFAI-HYD. if u r complementing it with a MBA degree than its an awesome combination to have on u r CV. c as regds the imporatnce of CFA, as fo now it had not got sufficient recognition from the government organisations in INDIA but definitely there r a lot of takers for it from the corporate world in India. still its a call which u have to make, all the best |
