It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. For instance, if you
are trying to invest on a capital project, the analysis will give you
the differences between various vendors compared to your need. In the
case of after you have awarded the contract, it would be the detailed
info which include what the vendor has on the system, what your
expectations are, and hoe you will accomplish within a certain time
frams.

Toolika,
What is gap analysis?
You have a target which you have to achieve. You do
not achieve it. You then do a gap analysis to find out
why you did not achieve the target.
How do I do a gap analysis?
Normally, we use tools like Why-Why (similar to a
fishbone analysis) to find out why we did not meet the
target. The output of the gap analysis is an action
plan (with owner and timing) to fix the reason for the
gap.
For what measures/ targets can I do a gap analysis?
You can do a gap analysis for all measure. For
example, we do it for our service measures, inventory
levels, cost etc. We do a gap analysis every month
during our monthly review.
I hope this was helpful. Please let me know, if you
need any more details.
Thanks,
Ramnath

this exp is usefull in other CRM companies which are in BPO office. this exp is also useful in areas where some company is implementing crm applications or deploying CRM applications.
I think you shall go vertically in this area rathar than expanding horizontally. You shall target companies like Talisma ( aditi technologies) and if possible try getting training in PeopleSoft/ ariba etc and learn CRM module

Dear sir,
Thank you very much for your prompt response.
you are absolutely right that i m grwoing horizantally rather than vertically.
Please help me out with the query. my intrest lies in management field rather than technical field. in fact i m quite confused as i m not much aware of the scope of CRM technology.in my case i m not much into purely CRM applications devlopements . i m into CRM software support ,not knowing much of other CRM applications.
plz suggest me how can i grow in both areas if i opt for anyone . i.e CRM technology and Operations management.
or can i go for both i.e technical Management .
plz suggest me and show me the clear path which is much better to go by ,as i m quite confused at this stage.
I will be highly thankful to you.

you look like a ever complainee guy who has habit is just to cry cry and cry
