hi friends,
I am also in the same group as you, looking for a place in coveted IIM's. I am B.Sc. + MCA from REC,Durgapur and at present working with CTS. As I do not get enough time out of my job, it'll be too difficult for me to attend any classes. Can you tell me wjether it is enough to prepare by ones self if he is very serious in attitude. Do u know somebody whoa have made it a CAT-walk by preparing himself using some good books and taking mock-CAT's from different centres? It'll be a morale boost for me to come to know of somebody like this.
I want to join the group for any discussions. can we make a Yahoo-group named 'catcrackers2005' or any other name u suggest and receive each others mail regularly? If everybody agree, then someone plz take the charge of being group moderator and invitation to others. For this let all of us send our yahoo-ID's to forum. My ID is : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Looking ahead for quick responses from the forum, b'coz not much time is left for the D-day.

Hi 2 all,

I guess there r enough guys n gals to start up a study group.

Now when the time for CAT is short, i suppose some real time serious business has to get underway.

Lemme introduce myself, i am abhay, presently in my thesis semester of B.Arch from IIT-R.

I hear often that CAT is tough...is it the speed which matters or the difficulty level of q's wich is stumbling block ?

I think good study material, mock test form an established agency and lots of magazines/newspapers and finally the right attitude shall be enough. Is tht enough ??

Plz let me know wht is the exact purpose of the group. whts its modus of operation.

bell_the_cat

well u can crack it if u r focussed fast paced and in tune ...

It also depends upon your base level

start from verbal as it takes much time to master, quant is easy you can do in a month s go for it

Hey Tulika,

This is fellow amdavadi. I have to decide to either go in for Postal or class from IMS in 2 days. So if you read this message tell me wether I should go for Postal or class.

Deepesh.

IT all depends upon your focus and preparation level. If you are der=termined enough and have a circle go for postal. or go for class ,,

at the end it boils down to your focus only
