Hi! I am an MBA from Symbiosis, Pune. Have 5yrs of work ex. Am working with a MR Consultancy in India and am on an Assignment to Canada. I have an option to stay back and do a 2nd MBA from Canada. However, I do not intend to stay in Canada, and plan to return to India after MBA. I am considering McGill University or Richard Ivey School at Univ of Western Ontario.
Would appreciate if you could tell me if an MBA from Canada in General and these Univ in Particular have any standing / value in India.

Both the schools are well known in the MBA circuit. In choosing an MBA program what matters though is your career choice, locational preference for post-MBA work as well as the alumni network amongst other things.

Try and figure out the Ivy and McGill alumni strength in India. My guess is it isnt too strong. But it is the alumni network that becomes critical if you are trying to return to your home country, unless of course you return as an expatriate manager with your overseas employer.

Also remember, there are several schools in Europe and the US which makes moving to these parts equaly difficult.
