Hi,

I am a graduate from REC and have around 3 years + work ex..
2 years in a Major MNC in India and the rest as consultant in an european firm.I have travelled to many countries and has worked with different cultures for the past 1-2 years.

My GMAT score is 730..My TOEFL is 670..

However my undergrad GPA is around 67%..( But i was in top 10 in the class..This was not a bad percentage..)

My concerns/worries are as..

1) How do i get over my GPA..? How do i convert my % to GPA first of all..?

2) What is the best way of marketing somebody of my work ex..?

3) Which schools should be ideal to me..?

I want to actively pursue a career in consulting..

regards,

Hi,

Lets address your concerns in the order that they are stated.

1) How do i get over my GPA..? How do i convert my % to GPA first of all..?
Don't bother about the conversion to GPA. Most B-schools understand that no every university across the world doles out GPAs. What is critical is that you indicate your relative performance. Measures like Top 10% of class usually hold. Anything to back that up in terms of certificates should hold. More importantly, what matters in this case is the university you graduated from.

2) What is the best way of marketing somebody of my work ex..?
Some key elements of work-experience are the level of responsibility, international exposure, team management and team player roles, promotions and/or increments, citations, etc.

3) Which schools should be ideal to me..?
You need to decide what your career aspirations are and then decide the schools you want to focus on. You could indicate them in a follow-up post, and we could analyse them.

I hope this answers your query. Wish you the very best in your academic endeavours.
