Visit the library 2. select some books and buy for yourself , ( as this is a good collection and anybody would like to have it ) 3. Form a group of friends and get these books may be one each ( either lend it or buy it). Any more suggestions friends?

Hi rahul

for CAT, the only way to sharp your skills is practice and more practice. Remember Gen Patton 's world " Attack & attack until you are tired and then you shall attack again. :D

So put 4 hours daily and with in 30 days you will feel the diff.

Good books you can rely on are NCERT books on maths in class 10th & 12th, R.S Sharma & O.P.Aggrawal

Hello,
I have noted the books mentioned above & thank you for the same.

I gave a mock cat today & noticed that one of the topics chosen for RC was really really difficult & involved history/sociology/economics all rolled into one (atleast that's how it appeared). The topic was "Mercantilism". It was quite difficult to decipher & comprehend. The books above (although very good) don't seem to have the same level of languague that this passage had. It was a very disconcerting experience.

What books would help me prepare for the kind of RC topic I experienced today? Please do let me know if you have such a list.

Sincerely,
J

Hi

CAT is an exam of unknown style and you sahll be prepraed for all kind of scenarios. I will suggest you to read The Hindu Business line on a regular basis and if you can get hold of "The Economist" then it will be quite good.

This thread indeed gives a valuable insight into Reading as a process. A small piece of advice. It's not what you read is imporatnt, how you read is!! Your being mindful, alert, curious and active pays. Since the process of reading is both monotonous and the result, volatile you need to fall in love with the process of reading.

More n more on reading from me guys!

As of now, read more, faster and better..

Hello!

Some other resources I will suggest are:

1. Books on Vedic Mathematics (You can Google, there are quite a few available)
2. Online test preparation resources such as www[dot]tenaday[dot]in - Excellent Questions for practice in DI/Quant/Verbal that will really build up your speed.

Cheers!
