I think b4 leaving you job, you must assess yourself about your cat readiness and capabilities and time is not much.
otherwise it can build quite a pressure on you . BTW what is your profile and where r u working ??/

About preparing for CAT.
I need to know what all material do you refer to.

To start for CAT, you need to follow following steps
i) Assess your capabilities
This can be done through a Diagnostic Test. Go for a mock full length CAT test (frm IMS, any CAT preparation guide etc.). This tst will give you fair idea about your capabilities vis a vis CAT and will also tell you the areas which you need to work on
Now in CAT , the areas can be divided into three sections - Verbal, Numerical and Analytical. Your diagnostic test will give you indications about your strenghth and weakness
ii) Now for verbal ability, focus on grammer and basic English language fundamentals. Wren & Martin is a must book and also go through vocab list given by any CAT preparation insti.
iii) To build your "Reading Comprehension, Start with reading newspaper editorials - Eco Times, Hindu and Business Standard, Time , Outlook etc. The Hindu is a must. Also go through a diverse reading . Your focus should be to increase your speed while improving your comprehension. Often these two move in opposite directions.
iv) To build on numerical ability , you need to work on algebra, series, fractions, permutations or probability. For these two areas get NCERT books for class 10 & 12 and also do ML khanna etc
so build accordingly, also buy some second hand notes either by posting at this board and or from any shop. but you need to look at timings as CAT is quite near and ppl r now starting for CAT 2005
