what do u think about the latest rankings in businesworld?? is MDI really so good for no. 3?? is its faculty really the best???? even better than the "IIMs" what about the seminars.? new entry is XIMB..what is ur take at it?

the rankings are a big joke. For the shady rating, BT dropped Cosmode last to last year as b-school guide.

I don't know whether i should write in this topic or not and please don't mind if i am wrong but i feel that if you add the 5 b schools namely IIM L , I , K , FMS and JBIMS which didn't participate in this survey, the rankings will be more or less will be the same what we have been seeing over the years.

Ragarding MDI and IIM C i personally feel that IIM C is better than MDi, this might be my perception as a student but when the survy was conducted they had what students feel and in that IIM C was ahead of MDI. But on the other hand the parameters which BW choose might be reflection of what media and business houses percieves of. In last 5 years as far as i remember IIM C has not come up with something which can sustain them at the level they are so someone or other might challenege them if not now then may be some time later. I think this challenge has been put up by MDi and it should be taken in right spirit that do well and think right you want to stay at the top or other will topple you down.

Regarding other comments about various B schools. i really don't know wy people at cool avenues make so much hype about IIFT where people down south or west have never heard of any such college ( I m sorry, i belong to west) the only colleges we consider or i have heard of in North is IIM C, L , MDI and FMS. sorry again that my lack of knoweldge.

My only appeal to all b school grads is for a while why can't we put of something like " To each his own" or " MY dad is strongest". lets make it a better forum for interaction.

We all have heard a famous proverb " Guilty mind is Concious", so why r we boast no no IIFT os better or IIM C is better. are we guilty?? or we want to shout a loud to make other hear that there is something known as XIMB at the top.

For that matter i am pleased with people from IIM A, B and MDI who doesn't get into useless stuff lik discussing B Schools ranking

Business world's recent ranking are really rediculas. Cause first of all there's no name of Symbiosis and then business world rank "Fortune business school as 22". isn't seems ludicrous???
I think the B-school's are used to publish reports in their favour by money.

I agree with you. BW rankings are a plain money game. Cosmode the agency which does this ranking is owned by one Dr dharni sinha, he also tried to launch a website. BT dumped cosmode because there were serious allegations and ppl were complaining the quality. it is good that 3 IIMs have chosen to ignore rankings. I think ranking shall be banned otherwise how come Lal bahadur shastri in top 10
