hi

89% is pretty decent one for the first times. as far as maths is concerned you need to practise more and more and dont panic, just identify the areas where you get stuck ..i.e loic or table or basic calculation so onm so forth , you need to harp on tht only

Hi Urvi,

You are having a problem which is faced by many Non-enginneers when they prepare for CAT. (I was one of them) Wel, we all just get stuck on our weakness in Maths and are so terribly depressed by it that can't focus on our strengths in other areas.

I'd adivce you to zoom out of your situation for a few moments and think about it. See what I saw when I was preparing was that if engineers are good at maths then they are weak at RC or English Usage. If you'll speak to some of them then you will find that they are equally worried about the RC and EU sections.

So my advice to you wuold be this. Get your basics clear in maths...crystal clear. and then attack all mock CAT's with this strategy:
Concentrate on your strengths i.e. focus on areas that u r good at and spend most time in these areas ,making sure that whatever you attempt is right. try for a 100% accuracy and for your weak areas like maths...try and locate easy questions, you will always find at least 18-20 very easy attemptable questions. try to do hese questions in minimum time and the golden rule agains is to maintain accuracy... attempt les but get them all right...

thats what I'd suggest...

take care and best of luck,
