Prasanna_Ram 12-08-2004, 07:22 AM Hi Raja,
I have a few questions for you..
1) Would a work exp of 2 years suffice ? What are the general qualifications that a candidate seeking admission into ISB possess?
2) Does ISB accept GRE score? If so what is usually the cut off?
I appeared for GRE in 2002 and since then the pattern has changed.Does this mean i would have to reappear for GRE?
I would really appreciate your help in this regard.
Thanks,
Prasanna.
isbpgp 12-09-2004, 05:09 PM Yes, 2 years of experience would suffice. It is the quality and not the quantity that matters. For other criteria, please visit www.isb.edu
GRE scores are acceptable. There is no cutoff. It will be looked at together with your other details to arrive at a decision. Your old pattern GRE would work without probs if the score is valid when you apply. I believe GRE scores are valid for 5 years, in which case you are fine.

rhea_s 12-23-2004, 01:02 PM Hi,
I wanted to know regd the scholarships for students in ISB. As we know, the fees are extremely high there and what is the probability of students getting need-based scholarship??
Thanks.
isbpgp 12-25-2004, 03:38 PM Almost half the student population receives merit-cum-means scholarships ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. Some students receive full tution waiver. These are competitive. Majority of students finance the entire cost of education from bank loans. For this purpose, ISB has tied up with a few banks that provide preferential interest rates to ISB students. Please visit the Financing section of ISB's website at www.isb.edu for further information.

mig19 03-04-2005, 12:05 AM I have admission in ISB and at one of the top 10 US B-schools, also have the option of continuing my high-paying software job and doing part-time mba at one of the top part-time mba programs in US. Although I am excited abt ISB, I am concerned abt my green card. I have GC and I dont want to lose it. I can stay away from US and still not loose it as long as I can come back and work in US again within 2 years. What are the chances of my getting a good job in US after ISB?
But long term, I want to settle down in India, after 5-7 years, once I get US citizenship (sounds like a skewed funda, par seedhi ungali se ghee nahin nikalta Wink). I would really appreciate the any advice in this matter. I have to decide soon and time is running out for ISB acceptance. ISB has lot of future potential and networking opportunity for future growth and employment in India. It is also much cheaper than US MBA. Please help whether I should go for IBS or US MBA (part-time or full-time??).
chkiran 04-28-2005, 06:57 PM Hi Raja,
I have few queries about the admission process in ISB.
1. Do you have any idea about the favourable score if i submit my GRE report for admission process?
2. Is there any limit for the number of attempts you apply for ISB?
3. If no, Can i use the same GRE score (if it is good enough and if I wish to use the score) for reapplying?
Can you answer these small doubts...waiting for your reply,
ThankYou,
Kiran. :D
MaDsRus 05-24-2005, 09:39 PM Hi Raja,

samratkakkar 06-26-2005, 11:41 AM Hi
Got couple of questions for.
1. What is the average GMAT cutoff for ISB? I know that work experience can play in your favour but I am sure there must be a average trend which is there in respect to the GMAT score?
2. What if an individual takes the GMAT twice? How does ISB treat the scores under such a scenario?
3. I have a 5 yr work experience....for 4 yrs i worked for a marketing consulting company and now I am working as a Sales Manager with Ma New York Life??? What score should be good for a candidate with my kind of profile.
Cheers!
