I have a offer from a MNC bank as Relationship Manager in Wealth Management service. Can somebody guide me about this line ? What is the career path ? Whether Relationship Manager designation is good enough ?
I am aMBA with 5 years of experience in Business Strategy and Consultancy. But have keen interest on Equity side.

Wealth management is part of PMS( portfolio management services) which is oneof the fastest growing area in the field of wealth management. So in this area you will be required to interact with high networth individuals and to manage their money by investing in appropriate channel.
This is an emerging area as private banking is grwoing field in india so career inthos area can be lucrative if you are good at building relationship with high networth individuals.
Now reagrdingyour career shift, I think that call you have to take as how you wish to build yourcareer and this career is more on sales side (retail) rather than equity research side
