Guys


I would like to know the current authentic status of SCMHRD in the industry ? Apparently they sacked the person who was responsible for making their institute one of India's best ??? ( Prof Pillai ). How does it rank overall ? One B School survey has put it at No. 5 all India. That was a bit hard to believe. Is SCMHRD better or is SIBM the top choice ?


I also have 35 months ( 3 years approx. ) exp. in HR . Would that help in getting admisiion there ??

hey there ...am told SIBM is very easily the better choice for HR ... asked a few corporates and this is wat they had to say ... they rate it far ahead than SCMHRD's .But these magazines confuse me ... dunno wat to do

Well for HR its definitely SCMHRD which rules the roost in fact after XLRI and TISS it is ranked 3rd for HR in India..however in terms of the ultimate corporate interface its SIBM that fares better than its counterpart SCMHRD and yes please do not follow any of these magazines..I don't think Symbiosis reaches 5th rank so easily leaving behind premiers like FMS,IIFT,MDI,SPJain,JBIMS or even IIM-I and K and XLRI...:D that's simply ridiculous...that's one main reason why i've stopped seeing all these b-school rankings in magazines.

SYMBIOSIS HRD is good 4 hr management. now going by ur profile 3 yrs of work ex. tht too in hr field ..well i guess u stand a very good chance of scmhrd & even more ...

u live life just once & u pursue mba only once in a lifetime (99.99%) so.. y not go 4 the best..??!!

a couple of yrs more in the industry & ull be very highly regarded by the industry. So my opinion so start preparing for XAT 2008 (NOT 2007) ..

& launch ur self INTO XLRI ...well this is my personal opinion & i think its fairly sensible.

& dont folow any b school rankings of mags.. if at all u want to follow ...

with your mails etc I think issue is over and bygones are bygones. Choosing a bschool is a complicated process but getting success in life is much more complicated so keep an open mind and enjoy

meanwhile i look forward to some passionate debate happing on say brands, derivatives or Some management issues rather than my bskool is strongest.:D
