Quo Vadis’ 04, Aditya Birla Paper Writing Competition
IIFT- School of International Business, New Delhi invites white papers for its paper presentation competition as part of its annual Management festival Quo Vadis.
The competition shall be held in two phases:
• Phase I: The participants have to mail a soft copy and two hard copies of the paper on or before 27th October 2004.
• Phase II: Eight-ten papers will be selected for this round. The selected teams would be invited to present their papers before a panel of distinguished judges at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi on 21st November 2004.
Theme
If one had to give a name to this age it would have to be ‘ Age of Change’.
Whether it is technology or society at large rapid change is the one constant of Brutal competition, ethical strife, unanticipated changes in the market place and technological shifts are forces, which constantly confront organizations on all sides. What will separate the winners from the losers in the new economy? It would be the managers urge to make ‘paradigm shifts’ in their organizations by taking different creative approaches to problems.” A paradigm shift is more than an intellectual change. It is a conversion experience.”
One such paradigm shift is the growing popularity of companies outsourcing their non-core activities and thus being able to focus more on their core activity so as to maximize shareholders wealth. This has created immense potential for the developing world as provider of such service.
IIFT invites white papers involving a strategic insight on the following topic: BPO services: Next growth engine for the developing world.
