Hi

I have been working for a global IT consultancy organization (India based) for the last more than 4 years and am currently deputed in London for the last more than 28 months. I intend to crack GMAT and join one of the most coveted Indian business schools (IIMs/ SP Jain/XLRI or the likes of these) for 2005-2007 session (overseas quota).

Can anybody please suggest what are the best business schools which I can target and whether it is realistic to start preparation at this time and getting score good enough to get an admission into one of these prestigious business schools. And also how many hours of study shud I must put everyday day in order to achieve this (I'm married and have a kid also).

Looking fwd to your response.

Best Rgds
Arun.

Hey Arun,

All the schools you mentioned are equally good in their own right. Decide your School based on the post-MBA career you are seeking. The simplest way to do this is by looking at the firms that recruit exclusively from certain schools.

From my own experience as an engineer, a few weeks of concentrated work is more than sufficient for aceing the GMAT. I would suggest that you look at the Official GMAT guide to get a feel of the test and allocate time accordingly. Make sure you spend enough time on practicing computer-based mock tests to get a feel of the real one.

Hope this answers your query.

Hi Arun,
I have relatively similar profile to you.
I am an IT prof with 3 years of exp and plan to take the GAMT in 2007.
By the time I take the GMAT i will have 4 yrs of exp (2 years International).
Can you please tell from your exp whether I can apply for any Indian schools ?
What are the rules for applying as an NRI ?

Thanks for your reply
