We all in marketing talk about models , strategies . But most of the time it is in qualitative terms . If we look at other domains like finance , Models have to be quantified . Can somebody tell me about the quantative methods and models. Suggest some books and
sites.

Hi Alok

I would list out a few quantitative models in marketing.

Autoregressive tobit models- For usage patterns and usage forcasting

Collaborative filtering- For clustering of customers

NBD models- Quantifying repeat purchase behaviour.

Learning models- Used to measure internet learning activity

Hazard models- Measuring censored observations

Markov models- Measuring web browsing behavior

Computer agents model- as name indicates, measure the impact of computer agents in buying behavior.

Trial-and-repeat models- Again quantifying repeat purchase behavior.

Like this, a number of quantitative models are available for Marketing.
