the much awaited IIFT NASSCOM IT seminar ended but not before leaving an exuberance of positive energy for the budding managers of IIFT. the thought provoking seminar started with a welcome address by Mr prabir sengupta,DG IIFT who very nicely set the stage for the discussion. Mr kiran karnik then stepped in to gave food for thoughts to enthusiastic speakers/delegates of the corporate world. the highlights of the first session was an emphatetic speech by Mr pheroz, exe. VP, TCS.Emotions ran high when the eminent speakers were weaving their own vision of IT superpower India. If first session was a trailor the second session was a total soul teaser with Mr pramod, director HR, CSC trying to give a glimpse of life at a corporate position in an IT company. truly that left little scope for the IIFT students to even think of joining any other sector than IT. the last session was a perfect ending with Mr Anil Bakt,chairman ESS trying to convince students that "IT Superpower" status is still far far away.and much needed to be done by Institutes like IIFT to take India to that position. much to the disappointment of the students and delegates the seminar ended at the scheduled closing with the promise from NASSCOM-IIFT to continue this relationship in future and work in a collaborative manner to reach great heights of success.
