HI,Readers this is saurabh i have got calls from both IMT(Ghaziabad) and SIBM(Pune),which one do u recommend looking at all the aspects including placements and faculty

first of all will say each skool has it's own strenghts n weaknesses...so just expressing opinions abt them wont suffice....both sibm n imt have good placements....have good faculties...n a great peer grp...but sibm has an added advantage bcoz i think it is not influenced by political figures that imt faces...imt has a very beauraucratic approach..but it has not hindered good placements...but still it becomes a factor....

so i would advice u wait for more replies out here ...in the meanwhile...try to contact present students of both the skools...n it's better if u can catch hold of the alumnis...n get a better picture from them....

i d just like to say that when it comes to selecting the B-school of your choice , please look at the placement figures of the institutes and on this front IMT ranks over SIBM ..............

Acc to me, SIBM is way ahead of IMT if we look at the overall picture. We all know the reasons for the excellent placement figures of IMT Ghazibad.

Peer grp in IMT is no way near Simbi, as there is lot of back doors during admission.

Moereover, Symbiosis as a brand name is gr8 its gonna help you at every stage of the career whereas the same cant be said abt IMT. And the locational factor is huge. Mumbai is being compared to Shinghai these days and the less said abt Ghzd the better.

just responding to the observation made by someone . the person who said that SIBM is better than IMT needs 2 get his facts right , first of all there's no b-school except the top 7 which doesnt have backdoor entries INCLUDING SIBM and yes most of the people at IMT are the ones who got calls frm SIBM also . Placements is also a very imp. indicator and trust me dude ,i m a part f d placecom , none f ur influences work when ur talkin d kind f companies tht come to our campus . So , coming frm a student at IMT who had calls frm SIBM , SCMHRD and IMI i d juss like 2 tell u that i chose IMT cuz it wuz better and my decision paid full dividends cuz f the placement i got , my package is $65000 and the average is 5.82 , nearly 50,000 more than SIBM .............

abt backdoor yes every skool has it...but the public perception says..n yups many of the students in imt themselves say..it's more in imt than others.....abt placements......i think both the skools give decent placements...sometimes one posts a better figure n on other times the other....but here again add...each skool has its strenghts n weaknesses.....n one has to appreciate that...

i dnt want to get into this arguement and yes public perception is mostly wrong thats why it is perception and not a fact , i appreciate all the other B-Schools but at times v have 2 give 2 ppl who attribute our placements to the fact that our chairman is a political figure and not to our calibre . 75% of my batch is from an engineering background and our placements have been the best in IMT's history so plz have the balls to give credit where it is due .....................

c me also frm IMT-Ghaziabad, so u might think tht my advice is biased but belive me dear, its not. even i had a call frm SIBM but i chose IMT, and so did many of my bacthmates. yes indeed there might b a negative perception abt the IMT in some ppls mind but it has too many advantages which outweighs all these and the placements over the yeras r a good testimony to tht.
some r suggesting tht SIBM and IMT have almost equivalent placements but dear b4 analysing tht aspect look at the batch strength at IMT and at SIBM, SIBM has somehwr around 90 students and IMT has 120 students in its PGDBM course and also a diverse mix of HR with some 30 and MIB with some 30 students. so placing these many students even if at teh equivalent levels as of SIBM is................i think u get my point...........
add to this, the PGDEM, GMBA and PGDCA. so u wud get a diverse experience at the campus which wud overall improve u as a person.

rest it all depends on u, its u who haev to make a call on this,

also keep in mind tht now IMT is under the purview of CAT frm this year and SIBMsi still conducting its own test under the Symbiosis umbrella........
so it wud all add to the IMT's advantages in the short run as well as the long run..........

i agree with whatever has been said abt IMT by sarat is correct , infact we guys at IMT think that SIBM is nt even in the same bracket as IMT . IMT , probably is at par wid XIMB and NMIMS and we have fact to prove that , you can check our placements figures ..............
