NITIE PGDIE students witnessed an all time high salary package this year. Riding on a booming economy the average CTC soared above 7 lacs per annum. What more, even overseas placements broke all records with students getting placed in Singapore, Dubai, Tokyo and London.
All 58 PGDIE students got placed right in the first day. Around 100 companies had registered with NITIE for pre placement talks. Maximum number of offers were from Infosys(23), Satyam(14), IBM(12), Wipro(12), Barclays Capital( 8 ), ICICI Bank(7), Procter & Gamble (6) and Asian Paints(6). The gamut of companies visiting NITIE campus this year ranged from consulting to banking and from Manufacturing to IT services. Some of the key players visiting on Day 0 of the placements were KPMG, TSMG, Ernst and Young, Accenture, SAP ICG (consulting); Citibank, Barclays Capital, ICICI bank (Banking); Colgate-Palmolive, Procter and Gamble, Asian Paints, Coke, Reckitt Benckiser, Gillette, Nestle (FMCG); and IBM, HP, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, HCL Tech, Satyam (IT).
