Quite a few good B-schools are forcing students to submit their admission fees well before the IIMs have even declared their results. As a result, many of you stand to lose an amount anywhere between Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000 of your / your parents' hard earned money. Some students who cannot afford the above have also been forced not to take admission into an institute, which is a huge risk for their career.

We intend to make an effort to try and ensure that institutes are fair to the student community and not take advantage of you when you are vulnerable. It is hard for an individual to do anything about this injustice, but we would like to attempt to provide a platform for your collective voice.

To make this possible, we need information and assistance from your side. If you or any of your friends have been affected by this scenario, pl post your details here and submit the data we require to take this to the next level. Even though we will need your test registration no. at this stage, we will make an effort to ensure that your personal details will be kept confidential when dealing with the institutes.

hi,
i dont think its a forum to advertise ur coaching class....wut the skools are doin are perfectly in their domain..n i think thios forum should not be used in any manner to work either against a common thing done by b-skools or in favour of any coaching centre...

mods lock this thread.....CL ppl ur initiative is good but plz dont use a common forum to leverage ur point....as an individual u can do it but not as an organization....i hope ppl got my point..as these topics are very sensitive...n the skools are not doing anything illegal..afaik....if they declare their results early it's their full right to try n get the cream of the students bcoz the skools are also running a biznes not a charitable organisation.....n the best way to lock ur consumer is by financially locking him....it's a game of risk v/s gain....u take bigger risk by not joining a b-skool n u save ur moolah when u get a call from a better skool but when u dont get a call ur year gets ruined....n the person who takes less risk faces the risk of losing his money when he/she gets call from a good skool...but if he/she does not get a call..then at least he/she can fall back on the earlier skool....it's a bizness gamble...u have to play it....

ciao... :D

Curtz & Ashis

I agree with Curtz viewpoint. CL is an interested party and not an independant forum. if Cl wish to do anything, they can talk to CoolAvenues guys rather than osting an appeal on CoolAvenues :)
