Hi, I'm an Italian student of the Politecnico University, I have to do a work for my class of supply chain but i have many problems so i was wondering if you can help me.
This is the problem: I have to write about 15-20 pages on the operations management divided in this way:
-What is the operation management generally? Which are the most important operations?
-What is the operation management in the retail? Which are the most important operations in the retail?
I can't find material so I'll be eternally grateful if you help me.

In manufacturing sector Operations management deals with the entire process from procurement of materials to production of finished goods in a most efficient manner ensuring quality & cost effectiveness.

In services sector or in retail sector operations deal with customer orientation & satisfaction, store & facility management, costing & pricing, sales & stock etc.
