It's a great time to be in a B-School this year. I'm glad I chose IMI over the others, I wanted an IT profile and could not have asked for a better lineup of IT companies in the campus. We had so many IT companies visiting the campus that we could afford to be extremely choosy. Infosys took freshers as well as experience guys. People with a work ex of two years were offered lateral placements. Other IT jobs were offered by HCL Technologies, Newgen Software Technologies, Progeon, MCKC (IT Profile) and Infotech. TCS, Oracle, Crane Software and Satyam Computers also visited the campus for pre-placement talks but could not recruit because of unavailability of students. Everybody got the profile of his/her choice.

IMI Rocks! :D

keep it up guys.

It is great to know about great placements at IMI. With a sustained GDP growth above 8, i think placements for class of 2006 is going to be beyond expectations.

Highest 8.1 and average 6.3? When you have recruiters like IFFCO Tokio, CEAT, Blowplast, JK Group, IMRB, Career Launcher etc?? These companies don't cross 5L pa. Some of them were offering around 3-4L pa last year.

Citi offered a package between 6.5 - 7.2L pa? It's definitely a rung down from the packages offered at the top schools. They offer 8+ L pa there.

FYI

Ceat paid a package of 6.5 in the campus, CL paid 6.8 (laterals), Iffko tokio and Blowplast also paid more than 5.5. Yes IMRB and JK paid less than 5, but ur other facts are worng..update it !!

abt Citi , yes we know that at IIM's they give a 8+ package and we accepted a differential

ciao.. :D

HI! Buddy,

I think it solely depends on individual's calliber to what extend you can pave your way to corporate world.
I think a fresh engg graduate can expect something between 4-7 lacs.

Cheers
Abhishek
