Hi
The ERP domain has become smaller with only two major vendors in the market .

Although SAP still has the major market share but Oracle is fast catching up.After buying Peoplesoft and then Siebel ...He can even go for SAP .I am working in oracle distribution .It would be unfair to comment on SAP because I have never worked on SAP.

Let us discuss both and find out the merits and demerits...

Cheers

Hi Alok,

This is Karthik. I saw all your postings and checked out your blog too. your message particularly about politics was thought provoking.

Your intention of guiding people in their career, even after you getting placed needs to be appreciated:) Hats off buddy.

I have finished my MBA in 2007 and am working as a business development executive in a small IT company here in Chennai. Having done B.E as my U.G, I rejected all the campus offers from retail n Insurance to get into software line.

Now, I have started to feel bad about my decision cos my current role has degraded to merely making calls n the target too depends on the number of calls that I make for a day! :(

Im really disillusioned! now looking for other opportunities.. Saw, your postings about business analyst, how r the prospects for a fresher like me becoming business analyst? should i undergo any training? r take up any specific course?

looking at things like presales jobs, again do employers look for any specific qualities? sp experience?

how do I develope those?

Please suggest.

Thnks in advance,

Karthik
