View Full Version : PGDBM from Neville Wadia Institute Pune
Hi there,
I am working in a leading Software Company as Infrastructure Manager & leading a team of 25 people.
I have done Diploma in Electronics & now want to do PGDBM from Neville Wadia College in Pune.
I had option of Distance PGDBM Learning from Simbiosis Distance Learning Center, but I think Part Time PGDBM from Wadia would have more value.
Your comments pls.
Regards.

since you are going for a part time and you also have somewhat decided you must have done a lot of study on the available options at Pune or elewhere.Do let us know more about the various other options available at Pune and also the pros and cons
Hi All,
I thought I will get some input here. But it seems nobody can give me that. Now I am sharing my thoughts below.
Neville Wadia is affiliated to Pune University. After doing lot of research I found that the first preference is always given to PGD from IIM's / ISB's.
But then its not possible for everybody to go for IIM's / ISB's. So for those there are two options. Either a part time PGD or Distance PGD. In Part time you attend classes atleast, which you don't do in distance learning. And I also came to know that PGD learning is better when you attend the classes. So in my opinion Full time PGD would be first preference. But if not possible then certainly Part Time should get advantage over the distance learning.
My comments are open for suggestions. If you need more info, pls let me know.

I agree with you. in MBA program, major learning happen from peer groups, class room interaction and faculty interaction and all these three components re missing in distance learning program. Hence i think your decision is quite right.
keep us posted about your experience in this area as next year lot many ppl will be in ur shoes:rolleyes: !!!
Cheers

PGDBM is really a great option for those who want to do management but due to work tehy cannnot able to attend fulltime courses. I have just clear my PGDBM from wadia college, and now im joining MMS which is equivalent to MBA. So this is an nice option. Also as compare to distance learning part time courses are always helpfull and they have been given first preference as the course structure is same as MBA. So i suggest you to go for it.:)

i will suggest you not to rush for correspondance MBA. have some more work ex and then go for evening program that will be better than going for pure correspondance course.

Hi Shital,
PGDBM from Wadia college is superb..however it is good for whome all those are working in good organization and they only wants to get some higher education degree, as u told that you hve given TY Bcom exam..i dnt think it is good for you, because u wont get good job on the base of tht PGDBM btr u go for CA ICWA or CS these are professional courses.
All the best..
