am doin my SIT with Way2wealth securities.They have given me permission to go ahead with any project of my choice.But am unable to decide on which topic should i do it any suggestions for topics related to MF,ULIP's,(dont want to do projects related to marketing only finance related).Plz suggest

As far as Mutual fund indutry goes you can do a resaerch on analysis of overall performance of Mutual fund industry in various calss that is debt fund , equity fund and also special sector funds. alternativel you can work on design of a mutual fund.

currently i'm doing with sharpe ratio, 5yr annualised returns and standard deviation but i dont know what's the beta what's the benchmark and things like that if you know please help with that.

First you need to classify mutual fund as per their clas e.g. open ended, close ended, debt, equity, balanced, ELSS etc

and then best way is to judge their NAV for same period that is returns

Hi this is Rushda MBA 4th Sem student from saurashtra uni Rajkot.Major-Finance,Minor-Mkting I am doing project in MF from Unicon-investment solutions(broking firm) i have to appy various statistical test -F,T or chi-Square tests to my findings in the topic in MF which i select.i have to decide Hypothesis,give suggestions on findings & include Questionnaire if possible in Report. plz can anyone suggest me how to proceed ,which topic to select in MF,how to conduct research,frame ques. for Questionnaire,data material etc for ref.Plz i am very confused as time is short & running fast out of my hands if anyone have project on any topic on MF Plz mail me as QUICK as possible Plz...........................................than x. awaiting a fast & + reply.will be greately obliged if heped

Instead of making the project as marketing dominated and using the tools such of T test, F test et al which I think they will also not understand, I advise you to do the ranking of the mutual fund schemes say in equity category including various risk measure such as Sortino Ratio, Sharpe Ratio, Information Ratio, Modigliani & Modigliani Ratio et al. It would prove handy and helpful for them also...
