What is GATE ?

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones across the country by the GATE Committee comprising faculty from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation) is a very prestigious organisation. It is responsible for research and other space related work.
ISRO recruits engineer/scientists through entrance examination which eligibility criteria is as under
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum qualification is B.E/B.Tech with aggregate of 65% marks in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Electronics Engineering.

Recruiting process:written test and personal interview.

written test: related to stream syllabus.

• Coming notification on 1st week of February and

• The written exam is held in mid-April Saturday.

• Date of ISRO Recruitment Scientists/Engineers exam 2012 will be 14th April 2012 (Saturday).

The eligibility to write GATE Exam is 55% in graduation.
