hey, In my opinion MBA is better than PGDBM. MBA is a degree which is affiliated by a recognised university, where as PGDBM is an autonomous course. So an university affiliated course is better than an autonomous course.

ALL THE BEST..

Default Hello Abhishek & Maan

It Doesnot Matter As If What Is The Name Of The Qualification.. A Pgdbm From An Iim Could Be Better Than An Mba From Hisar University... U Must Alwayz Look For The Course Content, The Faculty, The Repo And Other Things Before Making Ur Decision.. The Only Difference Is That, U Get A Degree In Mba While A Diploma In Pgdbm.. Thus If You Are Planning To Go For Phd Or So, Then Go For Mba Specifically Otherwise, Choose On The Above Given Basis..
Regards
Gaurav

hey maan may i know from where have u recieved this great PRAVACHAN. Anyways it is an absolute myth.I am saying it bcoz few months before even i had such a confusion but after a lot of research i came to know of it all
It has been right fully said by gourav that what matters is the repo of the course in the market and not the name.In india it is a rule that only university can award master degree, so institutes like IIMS cannnot award an MBA degree and hence they provide PGP courses (mind it not MBA) but like FMS(delhi univ.) ,ICFAI ,SYMBIOSIS which happens to be universities are eligible to award a MBA degree. So u see nothing is in the name
secondly one more wrong statement made by MR. MAAN is PGDBM is an autonomous course. It is not necessary at all why XLRI,WELINGKAR..........the list is endless which are awarding PGDBM course and are not autonomous but AICTE certified courses.so it is not necessary at all that PGDBA/PGDBM courses will be autonomous k.Autonomous courses are not AICTE certified that's it ,It can be PGDBA/PGDBM/PGP etc. So dont be confused regarding it
And let me tell u there are also lot of autonomous programs running in some famous collages like ISB(hyderabad),ICFAI(hyderabad),IIMM (pune) which are doing lot better than few of AICTE certified collages, so the choice is your's, yaa bcoz of autonomous course you cant do PHd in india & ur not eligible for public sector jobs
So MR MAAN watch out before u speak bcoz it is better to be quite than talking some thing nons***e

Default hey nothing personal buddy !!!

hey MAAN
what i said was not bcoz of any personal grudge or due to some emotions k.The reason i said that is bcoz some peoples just want to speak wether they know about something or not is a matter of irreleavance for them without realising that there wrong suggestion can affect some one elses life adversly,Yes ur entitled to have an opinion but why are u spreading some wrong information without knowing wether it is a fact or not.Such activities gives rise to rumors.U are already doing an MBA (so u are a senior member in this forum).Act like one senior member, try to be a mentor for young aspirants and try to resolve their problems and rather than that u r acting as an irresponsible NETA of indian politics who believes that he can do anything and get away with it.I am sorry if u took it personaly but i did not commented on u but ur wrong, misleading suggestions which has no practical existence.Try to understand the responsibility which u posses before speaking on this forum yaar. You dont have to say sorry to me 4 any reason but yes u do own an appology to the person you responded with a wrong suggestion. So be a man and accept it.
bye

hai every one,
well i think neeraj is absolutely correct, even i had similiar doubts before i had started doing my MBA.But later figured out exactly the way neeraj has depicted. And yes i also feel that what neeraj said regarding the responsibility we owe towards the forum is also so true.We must understand that what we are speaking should be based on some facts, and not bcoz someone listened it from some where.Such activities will give rise to rumours and it is the last thing to have on this forum i suppose. So well said buddy keep on the good work.
