Default Quality is a myth in india

Quality of anything is considered as a huge factor in the whole world. Most of the world is quality conscious. May it be quality of education, quality of finished product, quality of lifestyle, quality of cuisine, or the quality clothing. Everything which exists in and around one’s life bears a quality of its own.
But in India, quality seems to be a myth. That is because the rate of poverty is higher in India compared to other countries in the world. The price of any item which is of quality immediately rises. In order to produce an item of quality, it needs to undergo various processes which ultimately lead to the increase in price of that particular item simultaneously. The rise in price will abstain many from obtaining it in India, so manufacturers in this country stick to reasonable price with standard quality.
With the increasing number of middle class population, India is fast becoming the largest consumer market in the world. At this juncture, it’s important to produce items which are affordable to the mass, and at the same time maintains the standardized quality. Education being one of the basic necessities, there are many schools and colleges which run at minimum budget. Given the low cost of living in India, average priced finished products flood the Indian markets.

Hi BIBS

I don't agree with your points. There is no quality issue in Indian products. Indian products are better than the imported products. There is a fault in our countries management process. The good quality products are exported to other countries and the remaining products use to rotten in warehouses of government. Many brands of cloth use to export cloths from India on low price and re-tagged them with their brand name and sold in Indian and other countries market on a higher rate. India GDP rate is suffering because of wrong decisions taken by our government and also due to corruption.

Miss Neha your expected answer is exist within your comment "India GDP rate is suffering because of wrong decisions taken by our government and also due to corruption". Although Indian economy is fastest growing economy in the world still our 40% population is under poverty line because our quality-full products have low standard in the international market

@neha.seth
showing is become more important then doing. sometimes eligible candidates are rejected due to internal references and bribe.
Its very much true that internal references can increase the chance of your selection in any organisation not only that it also helps you in promotion.
I have a real experience, I have applied for a job, the respective consultancy have conducted 4 round of interviews and they were shorting the candidates after every round but one of my friend was appeared directly in the final round due to internal relations with the consultancy.

Mr Goutam I partially support your statements, because reference and bribe dosen't work every time, if your qualification and experience is good then obviously the respective result may be in your favor.

Hi Goutam

Reference works only if you are eligible and also have knowledge. With a reference you can only get direct entry in an interview or GD round but the final selection will always depend on your performance. In only few cases the candidate with reference get direct offer.

Question Re: Quality is a myth in india

Dear BIBS, what kind of education service do you claim to provide, merely consumer orient or quality? just in case you are compromising with your values does not mean that others in the business are doing the same. true that there is disbalance in consumer market but inspite of the odds there are many who still strive to offer quality services to Indian industry be it anything, any field... infact if you consider institutes like IIM cal, iLEAD, IT Kharagpur then your post stands controversial..does it not?
