I’m an MBA aspirant based out of Bangalore. I’m at a loss for a good business school that can help me in the know-how to be a successful entrepreneur. Relocating is fine with me, as long as I’m not too far away from home. Could MYRA in Mysore be a good option? Could someone please tell me if choosing MYRA would be beneficial?

MYRA Mysore is a good b-school. They have a strong faculty base, which is I think very important for any new b-school. You can go for it.
Every year in India, numerous B schools are set up and MYRA in Mysore is one of them. Since they started operations, they have gained a lot of name just because of their faculty and governing board. Virtually, their entire faculty has doctoral degrees from major international institutions and has teaching and research credentials that are comparable to the very best business schools in India and abroad. Only a limited group of schools such as ISB and the top IIMs have comparable staff. They even offer entrepreneurship which will help you in the future. I think it’s a good option overall.
MYRA would be definitely beneficial for you as it fulfills everything which a student needs in a b-school. They have got excellent international faculty and also build strong and binding ties with major firms who would provide internship and employment opportunities as well. You can apply for it without any hesitation.
Hey guys, how many batches of PGDM have passed out from MYRA? I think for PGDM this will be the first batch. What placement opportunity as well as range of offers do you anticipate for the first batch both in India and abroad especially for people like me who have no previous work ex. Has MYRA been able to secure assurances of placement from corporate?

Hey Aashna
Yes, this will be their first batch, as MYRA is a new b-school. Can't say much about the placements but have heard that they have industry association, which will help in placing the students. rest you know it depends on a student's ability to perform at office
Yeah Agrata is right! They are linked with the W.P.Carey School of Business which is ranked 21 in the world. They have a solid experience in higher education so you don’t need to worry even you are in the first batch. Going through the interview of the Dean of this college, I get the impression that this institute has been established with a vision to bridge the quality gap in the B School scenario in India. They have got the faculty from the top b schools– from W.P.Carey School of Business and others. It is a two year full time programme and it follows the trimester system. As far as the placements goes, they have tied up with many top level industries for summer internships and placements.
MYRA has already had some assurances from many companies for internships and placements. I was reading through an article just came across placements of MYRA. They will soon be finalizing the Memorandum of Understanding with many of the leading companies and soon they will name the companies that have entered into a MoU with them.
The kind of placements will depend on many factors such as your score, your experience (for those who do not have) it will be a starting lower. However, their global faculty and their ability to transform the young minds have assured that they would prepare their students in such a way that they take up different careers. I would suggest you to go with this college. It’s really good!
