hi

Nobody becomes fund manager by doing some course. Start your career with a brokerage house - work for 1-2 years writing equity research reports and getting a feel of market and then probably think about CFA from AIMR. but first try to get a job in equity research side first.

Swati rightly said no body becomes fund manager by doin a short term course...the right approach is to dirty ur hands in equity research and work your way up....yes if u clear that thats your desyination you can programme your career like that for next 5 years and choose your employers and roles accordingly

Hi,

You told us your mba in finance course is going to finish in next couple of month then why you wanna do any other certification course. Find jobs in your respective field -

Financial Managers or Financial Analysts
Accounting Managers
Corporate Controllers
Chief Financial Officers
Treasurers and Finance Officers
Cash Managers
Risk and Insurance Managers
Management Consultants
Investment Bankers
Investment Banking Associates
Investment Sales Associates and Traders
Credit Managers and Specialists

otherwise there are lots of colleges in delhi or NCR who offers such type of certification courses.

Hi karthik,
I cant figure out how you came to the conclusion that finance is tough for engg than a Arts background person. You are compleatly mistaken my friend.
But that is not a issue, you want to learn finance and that is god thing. You can start with simple courses from NNCFM OR FLIP. which wil help you build your base..
Take bankinga d finance fundamental course from FLIP and then choose courses according to your interest. hope this course will help you.

Hi,
As i saw your query is half already answered, that you dont become fundmanager directly and need to work a career towrds the destination.
You will need to show your constant focus in teh desired role by constantly updating the base and learning the qualities of a fund manager. What i will suggest is try to get a role in a Financial institution which do manage funds. Then climb up teh ladder.
You can get help regarding building your skills and specific knowledge of teh feild by taking course in fund management from FLIP and other related courses. The course is written by IIM alumni and is really good. look for the list of courses, you will definitely find one for you. website: Learnwithflip
