BBA is a initial level degree and will get you a job at junior level. You can take 30 to 40% diff all depending as from where are you doing your MBA. it can be as low as 15%.

Although it's a subjective issue as to how much could be the difference between the average salaries offered to MBA and BBA pass-outs because it's dependent on a number of factors starting from the choice of B-School to your work-experience, yet it is worthwhile to mention that there would be a significant difference in the average salaries of the two. You can judge the difference between the salaries of the two courses from their demand itself.

Generally from a A or B rated college, it would be around Rs.8,000 to Rs. 12,000 for BBA fresher. And around Rs. 15,000 to 25,000 for MBA fresher (both are for regular courses and not correspondence). But it all depends in which college one has completed his/her BBA and MBA. It also depends on the Industry and job profile (like finance, Marketing, BPOs etc,.) one choses his/her job. People who choose BPOs and shifts (esp. night shifts) earn more than Finance / Marketing / other persons. And when comparing finance and marketing, people who choose marketing earn more, as they have high incentives.
Personally I would suggest anyone to do their PG (in regular) to earn more and land in a respectable job.
Hope you have got a clear picture now. All the best !!!

Hi Bellapria,

If you are purely comparing the salary of MBA and BBA, and hoping that a graduate from an ordinary MBA programme could significantly increase your pay, you would probably be disappointed.

Where you do your MBA, the skills you learnt from MBA, the people and friends you know from MBA, and the exposure you create in your MBA are all highly influencing factors. I would suggest you focus on building your personal portfolio in terms of solid academic and professional experience so that you could demand a higher pay cheaque with your potential employers.

But positively, assuming you are earning your MBA from a reputable business schools, your salary could be looking at at least 30 – 50% salary increase for your jobs.

Kind regards,
Thomas

MBA is the senior level degree and obviously you are going to get more salary than an BBA degre holder because its an entry level to business management where as MBA is the senior level.
