This is Shailee, a current student of the School of Inspired Leadership(SOIL) in the HR leadership program .

Welcome to the official query thread for SOIL for the 2011 batch admissions!

School of Inspired Leadership is a B-School in Gurgaon that has been set up in partnership with an Industry Consortium of 32 companies. You may like to see our website for further details.
SOIL offers full time post graduate programs in Business Leadership, HR Leadership and Marketing Leadership.

when are you admissions?

When was your institute established? Is it AICTE approved ? Whats the admission procedure ... MAT CAT XAT .. or any other exam

The admissions process will commence around october 15th this year. SOIL is presently considering GMAT, CAT & XAT scores. Nevertheless, candidates who submit a good GMAT score will have an advantage. The emphasis however is more on the quality of the overall application especially the essays & the work experience.

SOIL takes a Caliper test, which in my personal view is an amazing test for knowing yourself from all dimensions. It looks at the behavioural traits and multiple intelligences. And these over time have shown a positive co-relation with performance of top employees, reason for many companies using this assessment .This is why SOIL requires students to take the caliper assessment.

The fees for the programs is as below:

Human Resources Leadership Program - 6,50,000 + Service Tax(10.3%)
Business Leadership Program - 8,00,000 + Service Tax(10.3%)
Marketing Leadership Program - 6,50,000 + Service Tax(10.3%)

SOIL was established in 2009 . This will be the second batch of SOIL.

Where is it located ? whats the cut-off (CAT & XAT)?
Is it AICTE approved?

Hi Natasha,

SOIL is located in Gurgaon, Sector 44 and is in close proximity to the HUDA city Centre metro station.

SOIL gives profile based calls like SP Jain does, the short-listing is done on the basis of the overall profile especially the application essays and the CAT/XAT/GMAT scores. The 5 application question essays in the application form are a crucial aspect and play an important role in the short-listing too.
The candidates who get final admission offer will typically have over 80%ile in CAT/XAT.

SOIL is not AICTE approved as the curriculum etc. is decided in partnership with the industry consortium. Currently there 32 consortium members.

SOIL believes that internship is an important learning intervention of the students program. Like other courses, internship is also a graded course for each student. Students from all the three programs will be required to complete an internship of 7 weeks during November and December.

The purpose of this internship is:

1) To provide students with an opportunity to apply classroom concepts to a real life assignment and thereby contribute to the organization where they are interning.

2) To enable students (those without prior experience) to become familiar with working in an organization.

3) To enable students to take informed decision in making career choices.

4) To facilitate the placement process by enabling students to get Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) from the organization of internship.

All students have successfully secured internships in organizations of their choice.

yaar i had many queries regarding s.o.i.l college.

i wanted to knoe is dis college recognised or approved......?
and what is the admission process...m not able to understand through the website..
