It's difficult to predict the SIOM cut-off as it will depend on the number of engineer applicants applying to the institute. This time the GD/PI shortlist will be released solely based on the SNAP score of the applicants and profile will be taken into consideration only while making the final selection offer.

However, being restricted to engineers only, you may expect the cut-off to be relatively less as compared to other Symbiosis institutes.

This is for the first time that SIOM is going to announce the shortlist on the basis on SNAP score alone. You need to apply to the institute in order to stand a chance to get shortlisted. As already mentioned, being restricted to engineers only, the cut-off may not be very high.

Last date for online registration & payment is Jan 22, 2011 for SIOM.

You seem to have good chances in my opinion. Your chances solely depend on how other candidates (engineers only) applying to SIOM have fared in the SNAP.

I have scored 76 in snap this time..
I am an Instrumentation & Control engineer with 37 months work-ex in ABB Ltd..can u please tell me what are my chances for SIOM?

I have already applied ... but it seems that money is wasted

I have a work ex of around 26 months in IT (Infy and others)

but my score has let me down this time ..

You too seem to have good chances to get shortlisted for GD/PI. Work-ex will give you an edge over other candidates for final selection, if you get shortlisted.
