Wat after MBA ?

Hello,

I am a software engineer (B.E.) (working in the field of Business
Intelligence) with close to 2.5 yrs. of work exp., working with one of the
big 5
consulting companies in the world.
I plan to take CAT 2004.
In July 2005, I would have had close to 3.5 years of work experience.

Assuming, I get into any of the IIMs or a good MBA institute,
I wish to know the following:

1> At what level would I join a company after my MBA (Say MBA - Systems) ?
2> What is the work profile and the nature of the work people do after 3 -
4 years of work exp and an MBA ?

I know a lot depends on the company I join after my MBA and my
specialisation and that it varies from person to person.
But, I need a general idea considering someone with 3 -4 yrs .work ex. and
MBA - Systems.

I wish to be in a techno-functional kind of a role and dream to join a
consulting company when I graduate.

Please help with yr. valuable suggestions.

it depends which area you wish to go after MBA, bizz analyst or BDM. to get a exact profile you can also look athe profile of new MBAs who join your company.

further as you intend to remain in same function, your profile will have 3-4 years of advantage compared to your non MBA peers.

in some cases , ppl ont get good job offer initially but in a period of 3-4 years the overall gain is much better than a non mba guy
