Is it possible to get another finance project? I have almost completed my finance project with Sundaram Finance, Chennai. The whole of May would waste away idly if I donot get another project. can someone help me get another finance project in an asset management company?

well shobha..i dont think u'll get any good summer project coz all the orgainzations have most probably allocated their summer projects to the selected trainees...i can advise you 2 things -

1) ask sundaram finance to give you another project, if not a big one but couple of smaal live projects.

2) go to any bank/ small investment firm/brokerage firm/fianancial analyst firm and ask for a live project if any...usually such live projects comes to the b-skools....so u can even ask our faculties to help u out here..

but must say getting a maketing project is easier than getting a finance project and know one mnc which has a marketing summer project in hand..if any one is interested then post it here asap..

u seems to hv missed the point. i was asking if you will be comfortable doing a project from home using internet where topic will be given by a corporate and targetted guidance will be given over email

thanks guys! am in the process of finding out from SFL reg another project.

idea is to learn financial analysis practically. will this venture of using internet to do project from home and guidance over email etc satisfy it?

yes i agree with u have in mind...
any sort of studies at home won't suffice u r hands on experience at the orgn........
so whtever u r trying to do regd the another project at SFL is a good move...........
but at the same time also utilise more time in developing u r fundas right regd the finance area b caz u wud agree with me tht Finance is too vast a a area and 2 yrs of MBA is not exhaustive in this respect.so if u find time just try to get tht right........
anyways.....u r call...........any more query.......

area of the project was "credit risk analysis" with the leasing dept of SFL. fortunately got another project with an AMC.

I'm doing my MBA right now. I'm yet to start my summer project. I have no problem in deciding the topic once i get into company. Im trying for a few AMCs in Chennai. I would like to know the details of the project you said that can be done using the internet from your home.
