Hello Everyone,
As you can see that my designation at CoolAvenues is 'Trainee'

. This is my third post at Cool Avenues and my first in this section (Career Helpline) So please excuse me in case of any mistakes.
I have finished my BHM from Manipal (not out of choice) but left the industry and worked with a new industry i.e. "Corporate Assessments". With a total of 1.8 yrs of work experience behind me I am in a position to try for an entrance exam to get into a B-School. My weak area is mathematics which is currently what I am working on. Although HR seems a logical choice with my current WE but am aware of my liking for Finance. Seems like everyone is headed that way

. Amongst the sections in Finance "Treasury" is what I am interested in. "Deepblue" on a previous post has clarified few of my doubts on this. Anyways, my objective here is to broaden feedback on this possible decision of mine. Namely the pitfalls and laurels. Apart from my MBA I plan to intiate formal courses in Mathematics (with a view for greater understanding of Economics & Commerce) as a skill. I seem to have found my interest in 'numbers' pretty late in my academic career but nevertheless plan to continue my interest in mathematics...for non-professional use as well.
Keeping the above in mind I request the more informed amongst you to give me an insight for a career in finance particulary finance involving the core activities in it.
Please bear in mind that I am not a commerce student, but am aware of people in the core finance industry who were not commerce students.
Request you all to please advise on the above matter.
Regards,
Ziffius
